Valakkai Fry (Plantain Fritters/Balekayi Fry) :

Most of the people like this valaikai/plantain/balekayi fry.Instead of buy outside we can prepare it in our home itself. This can be a good chat item for children.

Total time preparation for this dish is 30 minutes.

Ingredients :

Valakkai/Plantain/Balekayi                      -  1

Corn Flower Powder                                   – 1 tsp

Chilly Powder                                                - 1/2 tsp

Ginger Garlic Paste                                     – 1/2 tsp

Curry masala powder                               – 1/4 tsp

Salt                                                                    - 1/4 tsp

Steps to prepare Valakkali fry :

Step 1 : Cut the valaikkai/Plantain fritters in a thin round shape

Step 2 : Put the chopped valakkai in a bowl,then add turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste,chilly powder,curry masala powder,corn flower powder and salt.Mix it fully.Keep it for 15 minutes upto the masala mixes to the valakkai.

Step 3 : Then put 2 tsp oil in the pan and place the slice on the pan.After few minutes turn the slices and cook it in another side.

Step 4 : Then serve the hot valaikkai fry.
